Ansel Adams: America

Ansel Adams Thumbnail 2A powerful new multimedia experience–Ansel Adams America — the stunning photography of Ansel Adams projected above the orchestra and accompanied by exciting new music composed for the photographs by the great Dave Brubeck and his son, Chris.  Chris also makes a return appearance to perform with the symphony in the American Premiere of his Concerto for Trumpet and Trombone “The Blues and Beyond”. Featured with Chris in this work will be our symphony’s Principal Trumpet Stephen Goforth. A wonderful concert is in store, full of incredible visual images and innovative and exciting music. The program will also include California composer Elinor Remick Warren’s seldom-heard Along the Western Shore an evocative work from the 1940′s portraying picturesque California scenes.
