An exciting announcement! Coming to fill in for the ailing Lawrence Harris is cellist Joshua Roman — an Oklahoma native who has risen to the top in just a few short years. He has been called “a classical rock star.” Come see what the excitement is about! Roman’s performance will feature Dvorak’s beloved concerto. Also on the program is Schubert’s “Unfinished” symphony and Rimsky-Korsakov’s thrilling Russian Easter Overture.

These kids enjoyed games, crafts and learning about the cello. Later, they joined the orchestra on stage to listen to the first 15 minutes of the dress rehearsal for the concert that evening. See Kids’ Academy for more information on this great outreach program. Children ages 6-12 are welcome to this free program.
Joshua and Lauren

Guest artist Joshua Roman and conductor Lauren Green are chatting with the participants of the Pre-Concert hors d’oeuvres held 6:00-7:15 before the evening concerts. After enjoying the food, the audience listened in to Lauren and Joshua’s casual chat about the concert and what to expect from the music.
Music Director-Conductor Lauren Green and Cellist Joshua Roman discuss some of the finer points of being a super star at such a young age and being comfortable in many genres of music.
Pre-Concert Hors D’oeuvres
Joe and Laura Allison are just two of the guests who enjoyed the pre-concert hors d’oeuvres and talk from conductor Green. Joe is a new member of the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra Board. Welcome aboard Joe. The BSO board currently consists of 23 Bartlesville Community Leaders.
