After being a playing member for several years, Doug began serving on the Bartlesville Symphony Board in 2000. He’s also a member of the Board of the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra Foundation. David and his wife, Dena, are very active members of the symphony and the community arts, along with all their children. Doug is on the Bartlesville Public Schools Board of Education, where he currently serves as Vice-President, and on the Booster Club.
Doug grew up in Medford, Oklahoma and went to Oklahoma State where he received both a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Masters of Accounting. He’s been Manager of Technical Accounting for ConocoPhillips since 1993. Doug has served as the BSO Secretary and now serves as Treasurer.
Doug has played the French Horn for Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra horn section since 1985. He says, “I love the BSO for the part of its mission that gives a quality amateur musician like me the opportunity to perform great orchestral music for appreciative audiences. I volunteered on the Board because I felt I needed to give the BSO even more of my time and utilize my financial skills to help the BSO meet its long-term goals and objectives in a fiscally sound manner.”
