Becky Tupper has played Percussion at the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra since 1991. She received a Bachelors in Music Education from South Dakota State University with an emphasis in percussion. Becky used to be a band director, and is also involved in many musical endeavors at First Wesleyan Church. She sings in the choir, plays in the orchestra, and directs the children’s choir, “Possibility People”. She has also had the privilege of playing, in the Tulsa Signature Symphony on occasion.
Becky says, “I love to perform and am truly blessed that we have this opportunity right here in Bartlesville. The Bartlesville Symphony is a great musical outlet. It’s wonderful to have this opportunity in our own backyard. Without the faithful support of the Bartlesville community, the symphony will cease to exist. May we never forget how blessed we are to have a symphony in a town our size.” Becky’s favorite orchestral pieces are anything with a percussion part.
