Deborah Miller

Deborah Miller has played the Violin for the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra on and off since 1989. She started playing the violin in the fifth grade under the instruction of BSO’s own, Mary Snider. She played all through school (studying also with Barbara Wallace) and went to the University of Arkansas on a music scholarship.  After coming back to Bartlesville, she couldn’t wait to play again with the orchestra. She plays Celtic fiddle on the side, and loves to have fun with music.

Deborah says, “I love to be part of a great ensemble;  there is NOTHING like being in the middle of great music! You should attend a symphony concert because in this day of instant communication, instant gratification, and mass chaos, you can come to a concert, turn off your day and enjoy yourself.  You can experience such a range of emotions—nothing can transport the soul like music.” Some of her favorite orchestral pieces to play include the William Tell Overture, and anything Mozart-y!
